Indian pharmaceutical firm Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories has signed a definitive agreement to acquire select anti-allergy brands of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Under the terms of the transaction, the certain anti-allergy brands to be acquired, subject to closing conditions, from Glenmark represent mometasone mono product, and combination of mometasone and azelastine.
Dr. Reddy’s branded markets CEO M V Ramana said: “The new brands are a great addition to our product portfolio in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan which are important core markets for us.
“Momat Rino, the largest brand acquired, has recently received OTC registration in Russia and this will enable accelerated access of this product to patients.
“The acquired products will further add to Dr. Reddy’s strong presence in the anti-allergy segment in these countries, and will also enable us to offer a more comprehensive solution to patients in this area.”

The brands include Momat Rino brand in Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan; Momat Rino Advance in Russia, Momat A in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan; Glenspray and Glenspray Active in Ukraine.
The acquired brands in different countries are indicated for the treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis.
In addition to the brands, the company will also acquire rights to the trademarks, dossiers and patents for these territories.
