Needle sharpness and tip geometry are key variables in skin deformation and resultant pain experienced by the patient. Independent testing performed by state-of-the-art laboratory DDL analyses the penetration force required by five blood collection devices in order to find the one with the sharpest needle that, hence, causes the least pain.
