Nemera’s Innovation Center reaches 100 employees

The Innovation Center, a multi-discipline drug delivery device development expertise centre, was created in 2008. Early on, it included a few engineers, who worked on product development. Over the last ten years, it has grown consistently to reach 100 employees and more than 250 square metres of laboratory space.

"Considering that our Innovation Center started with just 12 people, ten years ago, hiring our 100th team member is a great achievement for us." says Innovation director, Dimitri Grasswill. "We’ve grown a loyal client base and expanded our services, in order to answer to our customers’ needs for device development. The patients’ voice is the key driver of Nemera’s product development. This growth is a result of taking care of customers, with a strong patient-focused commitment, a high level of creativity and passion every day in what we do."

The Innovation Center is composed of a passionate workforce with the objective to address your development needs. It has different teams, which strive to develop the best devices for patients’ health, focusing on:

  • Patient centricity & Usability
  • Mechanical, electronical and material engineering
  • Scientific computation
  • Industrial property
  • Programme Management
  • Performance testing
  • Regulatory affairs
  • Design for Manufacturing.

Patient centricity

As Nemera always puts patient first, technical expertise and patient usability always work hand-in-hand.

Along with the many fields of technological expertise, creative design and patient’s usability assessment are central to product development. The Innovation Center carries real world evaluations, through impartial volunteers and collects user feedbacks.

Sophisticated technologies, like fast camera tracking, give engineers an inside view of the way the device is used, making it safe and accurate for the patient.

Proprietary devices and contract development

The same quality-oriented process is applied to the development of proprietary devices, to customised solutions under contract with laboratories. The development quality team guarantees full compliance not only of the final device but of all the development chain. A strong programme management ensures that the project is delivered on time and in full.
