Eppendorf supports the smartLAB project – the intelligent lab of the future

Eppendorf AG will be presenting the incorporation of its laboratory devices and consumables into digitalized work processes at the smartLab stand. The advantages this brings to the customer with regard to topics such as documentation, process monitoring and automation of repeatedly performed tasks in the laboratory are illustrated by means of practical examples.

Dr Jan-Gerd Frerichs, director of information integration at Eppendorf AG, explains: "As a premium supplier in the life science field, customer requirements are a top priority at Eppendorf. LABVOLUTION and smartLAB are the ideal forum for us to present tomorrow’s trends in an interdisciplinary environment. Moreover, it is a perfect opportunity to interact directly with our customers and to find out what they think about it."

Intelligent, networked and automated – those are the key properties of the lab of the future. From 6-8 October in Hanover, smartLAB will present a glimpse into the future and invite you to find out what is already possible now. "smartLAB – the intelligent lab of the future" is a special exhibit that will now be held at the new LABVOLUTION fair for the first time. For the past year, 12 partners from science and industry have teamed up to create a realistic vision of a laboratory of the future. Application scenarios performed live show how digitization will change life in the lab and how we can benefit from that development. The fair also includes the forum event Laboratory 4.0 in an area of 400m2.
