Constantia Flexibles presents “Packaging Unleashed” at PLASTINDIA 2018

Under the motto "Packaging Unleashed" Constantia Flexibles showcases latest packaging solutions at PLASTINDIA – one of India’s largest trade fairs – from 7-12 February 2018, in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The focus topics are: Interactive Packaging, Pharma, Sustainability and Innovations.

Digitalization encourages the interactivity between brand and consumer. Therefore, Constantia Flexibles developed CONSTANTIA Interactive – a unique comprehensive packaging solution for interactive packaging in the food and pharmaceutical industries. It opens a multitude of digital communications and marketing opportunities by turning the packaging itself into a communication channel.

Interactive packaging is also a way to strengthen counterfeit protection, which is especially important for the pharma industries. But also, Constantia Flexibles’ Coldform foils and other solutions protect pharmaceutical products.

For example, CONSTANTIA Safemax – a new, deep drawn aluminum container which guarantees perfect protection from moisture, for sensitive pharma devices during global distribution and contact lens packaging along with the broad range of CONSTANTIA sachet solutions – different packaging foils for sachets which offer reliable product protection and excellent printability combined with high seal integrity.

Sustainability meets innovation

As the fourth largest flexible packaging producer in the world, Constantia Flexibles attaches great importance to the development of sustainable packaging: "Our target is to protect environmental sustainability through producing laminates which do not contain aluminum foil but are made from mono polymer family. Those laminates can be easily recycled and fit in a circular economy", says Alexander Baumgartner.

But sustainability means no decline in the degree of innovation of the company’s packaging solutions. At the trade fair PLASTINDIA, Constantia Flexibles will also showcase latest innovations for the packaging market with a focus on film-based packaging. For example, the Duo Pouch solution for packing two products in the same bag without mixing them.
