The title of ‘World’s Greatest Athlete’ is bestowed upon the winner of the Olympic decathlon. That title is currently held by Bryan Clay who won gold at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Having won the silver medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Clay is now in position to make sports history if he can reach the medals podium in London this summer.
No other athlete in history has won medals in three consecutive Olympic decathlons. For Clay, this would personify nearly a decade of dominance in an event comprised of agility, speed and strength. At 32, competing against some of the world’s finest athletes (many of whom are ten years his junior), Clay maintains his competitive edge, and his pursuit of sports history, by supplementing daily with Bioenergy Ribose®.
"As a decathlete, competing against some of the very best athletes from around the world, I have to be at my best in all ten events over a very short period of time. Bioenergy Ribose helps me do that. I can maintain my energy levels during each event and recover quickly so I am ready for the next one," says Clay who is currently in the final stages of training for London and will compete in the upcoming US Olympic Track & Field Team Trials in Eugene, Oregon on 21 June-1 July.
In support to his intensive training, Clay utilizes a daily Bioenergy Ribose regimen. Bioenergy’s formulation represents the only patented pure ribose – a unique five carbon sugar which facilitates natural energy production. Ribose drives the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy currency our bodies run on. "You take yourself to a place where you’ve got absolutely nothing left and then you have to find a way to push yourself just a bit more," says Clay. Keeping energy pools full shortens the amount of time heart and muscle tissue need for recovery from vigorous exercise, a vital advantage to an athlete like Clay, who depends on Bioenergy Ribose coupled with faith and determination to overtake the younger field of aspiring decathletes.
"We’re delighted to see how Bryan Clay is benefiting from Bioenergy Ribose which, when taken as a supplement, helps boosts energy, ease muscular discomfort, relieves fatigue and is used by all the cells of the body as an essential compound in energy metabolism" said Bioenergy Life Science President Tom VonderBrink. "To date, researchers have found no other compound that can replace ribose in the important job of driving the metabolic process involved in ensuring the body’s ability to maintain energy."
