Z Natural Foods, a US-based provider of organic superfoods and concentrated fruit powders, has launched the new Organic Maitake Mushroom Extract powder to promote immune health.
According to the firm, the primary compound (polysaccharide), found in its Maitake Mushroom Extract is beta-D-glucan. The compound is said to support the immune system and help in protection from microbes.
The Organic Maitake Mushroom Extract powder is claimed to have adaptogen-like properties. It features vital phytonutrients, minerals, and vitamins, including vitamin D, magnesium, calcium, B vitamins, phosphorus, and amino acids, said Z Natural Foods.
The superfoods company said that the mushroom extract powder can also support a healthy insulin response and levels of cholesterol due to its taste, culinary flexibility, and nutritional properties.
Z Natural Foods nutrition and research director Jonathan Parker said: “Research shows that the beta-D-glucans give Maitake its unique ability to support a healthy immune response and potentially fight off harmful invaders.

According to Z Natural Foods, the Organic Maitake Mushroom Extract Powder comes in 1lb, 5lb, and 55lb sizes, with prices ranging from $37.99 to $164.99.
For best freshness, the Maitake mushroom extract powder is packaged in sealed, stand-up, resealable foil packets, the superfoods company said.
