Canada-based Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) developer Laipac Technology has partnered with UAE-based firms YAS Pharmaceuticals and Pure Health to launch its LooK SPOT solution.
The company claims that its LooK SPOT is the world’s first Rapid Covid-19 antigen test system powered by artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
The solution is capable of delivering rapid and accurate Covid-19 diagnosis, which in-turn prevents transmission, and support clinical management, along with resources allocation.

LooK SPOT AI Covid-19 Antigen Rapid Test System is a smartphone-based diagnostic device that secured CE-IVD approval in Europe.
With lateral flow immunoassay, the system is intended for the qualitative detection of nucleocapsid protein from SARS-CoV-2 in nasal swabs.
It leverages AI technology to deliver real-time test results within five to eight minutes with 97.4% sensitivity and 98.3% specificity in detecting the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The rapid Covid-19 antigen test is also capable of detecting the new variant of SARS-CoV-2 virus, which was first identified in the UK and South Africa.
LooK Covid-19 antigen cassette has to be scanned before the test, through LooK PASS App, which can be downloaded from Apple or Google stores, and test results will be received to smartphones, within five to eight minutes.
A negative test results generate a QR code on the app, which can be used as a pass to enter any facility, event, gathering or can be used with transport facilities.
LooK SPOT solution is planned to be offered through Pure Health, for full API integration with multiple IT applications and travel applications for real-time reporting.
