Eurofins Clinical Testing, a subsidiary of Eurofins Scientific, has acquired Genetic Testing Service JSC (Gentis), a genetic testing company in Vietnam.
Gentis is a specialised genetic testing company that works to make technological advancements in DNA testing accessible and affordable.
The company offers specialised DNA testing services, including obstetrical genetics, genealogical DNA tests, oncology, and Covid-19 testing services.
Gentis has become the trusted service provider for more than 100 major hospitals in Vietnam. The company has generated around €10m in revenues last year.
Based in Luxembourg, Eurofins Scientific provides laboratory testing services to the pharmaceutical, food, environmental, agriscience and consumer products industries.
The acquisition is anticipated to support Eurofins’ expansion in Asia, enhancing its global network of clinical diagnostics laboratories focused on advanced genetic testing.

Eurofins said that the acquisition would accelerate its plans to expand further into Asian markets and expand its presence widely in South East Asia.
